[PUNK] The final edition of the Vans Warped Tour comes through Western New York on Wednesday, July 25 at Darien Lake. For those of us who grew up on emo and pop-punk, it’s obviously the end of an era which began in the mid-1990s.
[ROCK] Grammy nominated (yep) hard rock band, Alien Ant Farm return to Buffalo for a show at Buffalo Iron Works on Tuesday, July 24.
[COMEDY] This is not the Rodman that reunited the Korean peninsula (and once played some mean basketball too), no, this is a the other Rod Man.
[INDIE] It’ll be hard to find an indie rock show with more local talent than this one. Buffalo’s Ugly Sun, The Eaves, and SMUG are a pretty powerful combination, and they bring with them Qwark from Philadelphia. You won’t be disappointed.
[ROCK] Canadian rock band The Trews are due for a new record. They hard rock band from Nova Scotia haven’t released a proper full length record since 2014’s The Trews, and in the meantime their longtime drummer, Sean Dalton left (on good terms, say he and the band).
[PSYCHOBILLY] Classic psychobilly band Koffin Kats will bring their perfectly wedged hair and heavily bodies to Buffalo for a show at Mohawk Place on Tuesday, July 17.
[ROCK] The last time Beck came to Buffalo it was as an opening act for U2. He took the opportunity to play a lot of his more party-oriented music, with a few of the more emotional numbers tucked into the middle—a set very obviously curated for the arena rock setting.
Immigration lawyer by day, punk singer by night, Irene Rekhviashvili is the frontwoman of the noise punk band Alpha Hopper.
