This Friday, December 19, Broccoli Samurai, SkyPilot and Haewa will take the stage at Nietzsche’s. Haewa hails from Rochester and fuses various genres into their own unique blend.
[BLUES] There are a lot of blues fans in Buffalo as it has a deep tradition in the city with homegrown acts and a dedicated following that doesn’t pick favorites.
[ROCK] Toronto has always been rife with talent in many different areas of music. The city has spawned acts that span from Drake to Protest the Hero and everything in between. When you come out of that city, one thing is for certain; you’ve earned the right and have paid your dues.
[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Most fans can tell that the EDM bubble has been blowing up. Festivals dedicated to electronic dance music are popping up all over the country; letting the next generation of fans experience music through the hands
[TRIBUTE] Buffalo has always had a strong Grateful Dead fan base with a rich history and supporters you can find around the city in all walks of life. No matter where you find them though, the community is a close knit family who are there for the music.
[ROCK] The evolution of sound as music will forever have a progressive trajectory. Every once in a while though, someone truly unique comes around, flipping everything you thought was possible and opening your eyes to something new.
[BLUEGRASS] Floodwood might not ring a bell for most that aren’t in the musical know, but how about a band name all Buffalonians should be familiar with: moe. The link between the two isn’t necessarily stylistic, but in the names that make up the group.
[ROCK] If there’s one thing Western New Yorkers could use after a brutal onslaught of snow, it’s the fiery guitar stylings of Bobby Lebel.
Marlon Wayans has been all over the film industry; from actor and writer, to taking credit as producer and director on a few films. One thing that is always consistent with Wayans is the quality and depth of characters he’s helped create, funny or not.
