The Toronto Blue Jays are in first place, N.W.A. is relevant, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are touring in support of E. 1999 Eternal. We didn’t time travel back to the 1990s, but it sure does feel like it.
[BLUES] For Buffalonians who are fans of the blues, Anita West has been a mainstay on the scene. Between her long stint hosting a weekend blues radio show, to many appearances around the region, West is forever linked to the music.
[FUNK] With the Canalside Concert Series taking place just a short walk from Buffalo Iron Works, the venue has become a great landing place for those looking to keep dancing.
[TRIBUTE] It’s not every day that a cover band does anything more than bar gigs and weddings; in fact, that’s the norm.
[FUNK] Buffalo’s Canalside Concert Series has already been a huge hit, packing fans in the (now) beautiful scenery of the restored Buffalo waterfront.
[METAL] Sweden and the rest of the Nordic countries of Europe have always been a hotbed for metal and hard rock music.
[TRIBUTE] If you’re a fan of a regular summertime band here in Western New York, the name Busted Stuff might mean something to you. If you’re not a huge Dave Matthews Band fan though, the reference might be lost.
[FUNK] The Allman Brothers have one of the largest and most loyal fan bases in all of music, helping in both the jam and Southern rock spectrums. Like the Neville Brothers, who have second-generation musicians now getting into the mix, the Allman Brothers have next of kin coming of age.
[ROCK] The Steve Miller Band is one of those bands that have come to define a generation. If you listen to “classic rock,” the Steve Miller Band fits nicely in that pocket and is one of those bands who helped shape that sound.
