[ELECTRONIC] Heavy, dark, provocative Night Slaves’s latest creation, It’s a Numbers Game, is the type of music that works best when set against a shot of oily, cranking machinery spewing out gases and materials in the heart of an industrial world. This is the electronic duo’s dive into a four song experiment with improvised vocals, and a harsh, but stimulating, instrumental background. Mohawk Place will be hosting Night Slaves’ limited release party of only 50 (!) cassettes this Friday. Appearances by Buffalo’s bedroom goth-pop electronic lady, Sparklebomb, the lo-fi king Ex-Pat, and the video game mixer SBthree will add to the night of mixed, weird, but extremely catchy soundscapes.
