[ART] On Friday, November 6 head down to Pausa Art House for the opening reception of a collection of new paintings by Chuck Tingley. The Buffalo native’s work often centers around vivid portraits whose figures fade into a prismatic oblivion of washed layers, color splatters, blotches and even shards. ”Relying heavily on the human figure as my subject matter, fragments of dream and memory are refracted through a filter of emotion that is central to the theme of my work,” the artist statement on his website reveals. The event will take place between 6pm to 11pm and Tingley’s work will be on view until December 18.
