Infringement Festival Fundraiser
[FUNDRAISER] 11 years of 11 days. The Infringement Festival is 11 years old, and the road to this year’s 11-day-long music and arts festival has begun. The festival, which happens each summer on the streets of Allentown and beyond, is accepting applications until May 1, which means it’s not too late for any artists, musicians, dancers, poets, performers, freaks, visionaries, or snake charmers to sign up. Since the festival is fundamentally opposed to corporate sponsorships and is a “non-profit-driven, non hierarchical grassroots endeavor,” it takes some support from you, the audience, to keep the festival going. Here is your chance to pitch in: on Friday, March 13, at Mohawk Place, the Buffalo Infringement Festival is holding a fundraiser featuring five alternative, experimental, and just plain awesome acts: Folkfaces, Second Trip, Soul Butchers, the Buffalo Burlesque Collective, and the Steve Myers Painstrument. Local video artists Projex and Armageddon Party will provide the visuals.
