[SKA] If their name wasn’t a tip off, Mephiskapheles are a self-styled “satanic ska” band from New York City. Formed in 1990 out of the ashes of a hardcore band, Mephiskapheles were an influential third wave ska band, touring with punk bands like the Buzzcocks. The band broke up in 2001 but reformed in 2012. Founding member Brian Martin returned to the band in 2013 after a string of shows which included Riot Fest in Chicago. In 2015 they released their self-titled comeback record. Mephiskapheles comes to Mohawk Place on Saturday, December 2 for a matinee show with support from the Abruptors and Reggie Childs.
