[ALT ROCK] Alternative Buffalo is getting into the Christmas spirit with The Kerfuffle Before Christmas at the First Niagara Center on Friday, December 18. Kicking off this sonic winter wonderland is London-based outfit, Wolf Alice, who boast gritty pop sounds underpinned by icy, rocking beats. BORNS will offer up a sweeter fare with indie-pop sugarplums like “Electric Love,” which are as tuneful as they are dancey. Ohio-based indie-rock outfit, SomeKindaWonderful will spread Christmas joy with their toasty, electronic-fused repertoire, which includes hits like “Reverse” and “Amaretto.” There’ll also be tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago with the reconstituted nineties beach bros, Sublime – who gifted the planet with such hits as “Santeria,” “Badfish,” “Caress Me Down” and “What I Got” – who now rock with frontman Rome Ramirez. Third Eye Blind is another oldie but goodie, coming to stuff your stocking with classic anthems like “Jumper” – guaranteed to tickle your nostalgia bone – and brand new ballads like “Get Me Out Of Here.” Matt & Kim will bring tidings of cheer and upbeat electro beats to spin. Boasting hits like “Get It” and “Daylight,” these birds of a feather come bearing all kinds of mania and bold encouragements to travel to the naughty side and recklessly let loose.
