[PUNK] This oddball lineup at Mohawk Place on Thursday, November 17, holds a little something for everyone, beginning with Detroit trio the Full Monty. Still celebrating the later summer release of their debut, Bombay, Monty is mainly a vehicle for the songwriting of frontman Dan Harness, who initially struck out as a troubadour. Harness and company are rooted in a punk aesthetic, but the sound is melded with bits of folk-pop and an occasional metallic crunch. On Thursday, they’re paired with local hardcore outfit Orenthal, the more melodic, surf-influenced sound of D.N.R., and—just added—Americana-ish duo Rust Belt Brigade.
