[FESTIVAL] For those looking for a different kind of craft beverage festival, look no further than Nickel City Drink. The cocktail festival, which is a benefit for Crisis Services of Erie County, is essentially a city-wide festival which will take place in nine different bars across two days. Day one, Wednesday, October 12 will take place at the Town Ballroom for the kick off party, which will drinks from Buffalo Proper, Lloyd Taco Factory, Marble + Rye, Mes Que, Toutant, and Vera, along with music from Nelson Rivera and Jazz Conception Project. Then, on Thursday, October 13, bars, restaurants, cafes, and distilleries including Bacchus, Tipico, Tommyrotter Distillery, Twentieth Century Club, Buffalo Proper, Lloyd Taco Factory, Mes Que, and Marble + Rye will each hold their own classes and events which range from workshops on how to craft your own bitters, a lecture on agave—the main ingredient in Mezcal—a happy hour, and a pizza party. A smattering of events is listed here, but you’ll want to be sure to check NickelCityDrink.com for a full schedule.
