[FESTIVAL] Certainly one of the most unique entries we’ve seen on the local festival circuit, this Friday’s Tesla Festival is a throwback to an era where Buffalo found itself on the forefront of scientific and cultural innovation. A long overdue appreciation of Nikolai Tesla’s remarkable achievement of alternating current electricity at Niagara Falls 120 years ago, TeslaFest is one night event that hinges on displaying the intersection of art, science, and innovation with storytelling performances, art installations, Slavic fusion music, and appearance by Tesla himself as the evening’s emcee for the so-called “Electric Circus.” It all goes down inside the Lakeward Spirits Event Center in the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward.
