[ALTERNATIVE] The Dirty Heads are an alt-rock hybrid that were originally inspired by the punk-reggae sunshine of Sublime and the brassy bravado of the Beastie Boys. Their brand of carefree rock-rap is textured with heavy beat-dropping instrumentals that crash and groove around expanding harmonies and club-ready rhythms. Their latest release, Sound Of Change, is a slam-dunk from the lush, symphonic title song to the sentimental and smooth nostalgia of “My Sweet Summer.” Catch The Dirty Heads at the Rapids Theatre on Wednesday, September 9.
