[PUNK] They call it Culture Punk, we call it wacky, but either way, it’s fun. Not to be confused with the Iranian garage band of the same name, The Muckers are out of Atlanta, but they’re fronted by native Buffalonian Jeff Shaw, who you might remember from way back in the Pug Mahones. Together, they blend everything under the kitchen sink: traditional Irish music, bluegrass, and folk, fused atop a punk foundation and then seasoned with eclectic bits of zydeco, klezmer, and other left-field genres. They’ll bring their oddball musical stew to Mohawk Place on Friday, September 2 with local punk-pop trio Poindexter and Johnny Revolting. Doors are at 7pm, Muckers are at 8pm sharp.
