[ROCK] Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker. When you pull it apart, it seems to mean “opportunity is everywhere if you channel it,” or something along those lines. It’s just the sort of happy-go-lucky stance you might expect from a pair of guys that met while stocking the beer cooler at the golf course that employed them near Toronto. But the sum is, in fact, greater than its parts: guitarist/vocalist Ashley Buchholz (Ash Boo-Schultz) and scratch-maven Jason “Human Kebab” Parsons (we want to know exactly what’s being implied there, by the way) make music that’s perfectly suited to the summer weather we’ve been having—breezy, easy, and not uncomfortably hot. The duo is bringing their temperate tones to Canalside in support of New World Alphabet, out earlier this year, and one listen to the lastest single, “California Medication,” will have you tapping your toes and envisioning passing palm trees with the top down. It’s just what the doctor ordered, Thursday, August 17.
