Breaking Benjamin

[HARD ROCK] Breaking Benjamin surfaced in their hometown of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, when a local radio DJ, Freddie Fabbri, began playing “Polyamorous” on rotation in the late 1990s. The song became a crowd favorite, fueled by catchy and not-too-heavy riffs, driving Fabbri to fund Breaking Benjamin’s self-titled debut in 2001. They were soon signed by Hollywood Records, and from their debut, Saturate, through their fourth release, Dear Agony, their following swelled due to infectiously gritty songs like “So Cold”, “Sooner or Later,” and “Diary of Jane.” After a brief hiatus, BB flew back on the scene like a bat out of hell in 2014 with Dark Before Dawn. A thought-provoking juxtaposition of dark versus light, the album boasts the quintessential Breaking Benjamin sounds on cuts like “Failure” and a little variation on songs like the atmospheric “Ashes of Eden.” Catch Breaking Benjamin with Starset at the Hamburg Fairgrounds on Friday, July 24.
