[DANCE] The internationally acclaimed show Baila Brazil is being brought to Artpark for a two-day stint from Friday, July 15 to Saturday, July 16. For their North American premiere, a group of performers including the dancers of Balé de Rua choreographed by Marco Antonio Garcia, sambistas, musicians, capoeiristas and singers will deliver a burst of infectious Brazilian music and dance to the audience. There will also be a parade on Saturday, July 16 from 1pm to 4pm, which will feature the dancers of Balé de Rua alongside local dancers from Lewiston Dance Center as they swirl down Center Street and head down to the entrance of Artpark. Once at Artpark there will be a free carnival with dance demonstrations, music, food (for purchase), art making, and face painting for kids of all ages. There will also be a Baila Brazil after party after the show each night with music provided by Buffalo’s own DJ déjá blü! Tickets for the show can be purchased at Artpark’s official website.
