[FESTIVAL] Memorial Day might be the kickoff to summer, but the Allentown Art Festival is the official kickoff for the summer’s frenetic festival schedule. An elder statesman on the local outdoor festival circuit, the art festival is celebrating its 59th year, long enough to have grown old along with the neighborhoods lovely Victorians and establishments. With hundreds of exhibitors, many of whom travel great distances to participate, Allentown offers fine artworks, and a curated selection of craft wares, unique jewelry, vintage and designer clothing, and all the doodads, knickknacks, and tchotchkes your little heart could ever desire. The weather will be warm—not hot—perfect for making the festival a part of your weekend.
