[INDIE] There’s a lot going on under the hood with Slow Caves. There’s a bit of emo, some 1980s pop, even some surf rock. What that means at the end of the day is that the band, made up of Danish brothers Jakob and Oliver Mueller, as well as friends David Dugan and Jackson Lamperes have a pretty unique sound. Their latest record, Desert Minded is equal parts pop sensible emo and weirdo indie rock. And it’s all done at kind of a slow motion speed—or at least a slower speed than you’d expect—which gives it a bit of a stoner, psychedelic tinge too. Check out the Colorado-based band at Mohawk Place this Tuesday, May 30 with support from Coral Collapse and Yali.
