[FOLK] Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Daniel Knishkowy’s full length debut as Adeline Hotel, Leave the Lights, is an impressive country-folk amalgam touching on everything from Fairport Convention to Oakley Hall to Kirwan/Welch-era Fleetwood Mac. Despite a lingering mournful shadow, Knishkowy shows he’s capable of delivering a wide range of emotional values with a mix of heated rockers (the title track), proggy blues (“Oh, Still,” “Another Way to Go,”), jangle-pop (“Back Tonight”) and even something resembling doo-wop with the horn-laden “Wandering.” Catch Adeline Hotel at Dreamland on Saturday, April 25 with Johanna Samuels and Alex Berkley.
