[ARTS] Woven tightly into the fabric of Buffalo’s industrial past was the sport of choice for many of its workers: boxing. In synergy with the St. Patrick’s Day, Dyngus Day, and St. Joseph’s Day, the Buffalo Veteran Boxing Association (Ring 44) is hosting a colorful exhibition of Buffalo’s boxing lore: the fighting pride of its Irish, Polish, and Italian immigrant stock, at Karpeles Manuscript Library. Add that it’s in prime stumbling distance between Sunday’s parade route and other Allentown establishments and it becomes a no-brainer stop for any adherents to sports and local history.
