[INDIE] Local indie-emo faves Del Paxton are dropping their full length debut for Topshelf Records, entitled All Day, Every Day, All Night, and they’re celebrating with an album release show at Mohawk Place on Friday, March 3. The deal with Topshelf is a big break for the trio, and the lead single, “Take it to the Limit” showed up in January – no, not an Eagles cover. Actually, if the single is any indication, the band has found a kickass middle-ground between tighter production and a live-in-studio sound that keeps from veering off into over-the-top heroics and digitally-enhanced vocal grandstanding (two telltale signs that emo has morphed into super-polished-something-else). At barely three minutes, the subtle hooks and infectious rhythm section breakdown will  keep you pressing repeat like it’s the hospital bedside morphine button. On Friday, they’re joined by Slow Cooker, musical dude-of-all-trades Sonny Baker and his band, Yellow House (named after the Grizzly Bear album, perhaps?) and VWLS. $5 gets you in, and proceedings begin at 8pm.
