Burma VJ

[FILM] Kicking off their ACESS Documentary Film Series, Squeaky Wheel is presenting locals a rare opportunity to watch this Oscar nominated film, Burma VJ: Reporting from a Closed Country, followed by a Q&A with political prisoners that currently reside in Buffalo: Zaw Win from The Wash Project, and Executive Director from the All Burma Monks’ Alliance, U Pyinya Zawta. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about the “Saffron Revolution” from people who survived this catastrophic event. Burmese snacks and tea will be provided by Lin Restaurant (927 Tonawanda St.) and an interpreter will be on site to assist with the flow of the conversation.
