PechaKucha Night, Buffalo Volume 15

[IDEAS] Like a Ted talk colliding with Instagram, PechaKucha evolved in Japan before either of those two came into prominence, and it has the bones to continue long after them, too. Held regularly in over 800 cities all over the world, the Buffalo chapter is coming back to life on Thursday inside Babeville’s 9th Ward for PechaKucha, Buffalo volume 15. The formal structure of the performance is what makes it special: presenters must show 20 images for 20 seconds each, dropping enough ideas and knowledge in those 6 minutes and 40 seconds as they can fit. Presenting at volume 15 will be artists Mark Shepard, Stephanie Rothenberg, Alexandra Spaulding, environmentalist Antonina Simeti, writer and biologist Gaia Amman, and font designer Carima El-Behairy, and fabrication manager Andrew Pries.
