[AMERICANA] The name says it all. The 5th annual Brassband Dixieland Americana & Burlesque show is coming up this weekend and it’s chock full of all of the above. Acts include burlesque troop The Stripteasers, party marching band 12/8 Path Band, 10 piece throwback hot jazz band Fredtown Stompers, Buffalo Brass Machine—for whom every day is Mardi Gras—and fearsome folk band Folkfaces (check out our interview with Folkfaces frontman Tyler Westcott) If that’s not enough fun for you, and it certainly should be, you can ratchet up those feel good vibes by bringing a non-perishable, cloths, toiletry, or cash donation to benefit local soup kitchen Friends of Night People. You can also expect a photo booth by Brandon Perdomo and art by Joe Ski, this Saturday, January 27 at Mohawk Place.
