[JAZZ] Walking into the Gypsy Parlor on Friday night might feel a lot like stepping back in time. That’s because the retro-themed gypsy bar will host Jessy Carolina, a 1920s and 1930s inspired jazz act. She’ll come to Buffalo from New York City with her band the Holy Crow Jazz Band to deliver some early roots and jazz classics. Carolina treats these traditional 1920s jazz swingers with her intimate deep-fried vocals, crooning along to the rootsy riffs of her brass and string bandmates. The band juggle lazy mandolin and trumpet tunes with more upbeat, poppy swing tunes to create an immersive experience. Jessy Carolina and the Holy Crow Jazz Band come to the Gypsy Parlor on Friday, January 15. DJ LoPro will close out the night.
