Vermin Supreme

[PERFORMANCE ART] “A perennial joke candidate who wears a boot on his head has received more votes in the New Hampshire primary than former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore,” reads a headline from the New York Daily News. That “joke candidate” is of course Vermin Supreme—the performance artist, activist, prankster, wannabe meme, and ever present political candidate. His policies include passing a law requiring people to brush their teeth, increased zombie apocalypse prep, time travel research, and a free pony for every American. On paper his live show might not seem like much: He does songs to a backing iPod and video track, he does a campaign speech, he reads from his new book iPony, and he gets the crowd involved with a Q&A, but we can ensure you it will be much weirder than it sounds. Vermin Supreme comes to Mohawk Place on Monday, January 16 with support from musical comedian Rob Potylo.
