[PARTY] We’ve held quite a few parties, but maybe none as important as this one. “Important” and “party” are maybe not words that usually go together, and we don’t want to put too much pressure on you, the party people, but this one could help us stay in business.
[HIP HOP] MC Chris broke into hip hop in an unusual way: contributing music to Adult Swim shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and working on shows like Sealab 2021, The Brak Show, and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast.
[INDIE] Sugar City is the place to be this weekend if you’re looking for something heavy, fun, and noisy. Four-piece experimental rock band, Crystallized, comes in from Petersburg, Florida for this one to deliver their electronic-tinged noise rock.
[HIP HOP] Hip hop returns to Nietzche’s for this event featuring a bunch of rising Buffalo-based artists. Hip hop trio, 14 Trapdoors, featuring members Bendyface, Short Moscato, and Wza, take the top slot. They’ll be joined by Medusa, Chill Ali, Little Cake, and The League.
[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Ghastly has been on the rise for a few years. The electronic dance music artist has released music on some of the most well known dubstep labels in the game including Skrillex’s OWSLA label, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, Boregore’s Buygore label, and Mad Decent.
[METAL] It may be rainy this week, which gives you an excuse to wear a raincoat to GWAR’s usually bloodsoaked live concert at the Town Ballroom on Sunday, October 7.
[JAM] As one of the headliners of the Cobblestone Live music festival in Downtown Buffalo over the summer, Turkuaz delivered a fast, funky, and freaky set of jammy funk music that had the packed crowd dancing throughout.
