Metz, Big Ups

Buffalo “free punk” band Hot Tip are preparing for the release of their full-length record, Hold Me, Closely by releasing the first single from the record. The track, “Fiction,” is a brief but fully charged punk track covered in heavily distorted guitars and urgent vocals. The song was recorded at Mammoth Studios in Buffalo.

Album:   Contact by Space Is Haunted

 Recommended if you like:
Sonic Youth, Big Black

Earlier this month, Buffalo lo-fi punk band Space Is Haunted—Jamie Levy and Katie Quider— released their latest record, Contact. The 10-song album cycles through psychedelic punk songs like “We Have Made Contact” and “Mars” in between more emo-influenced tracks like “Rip Tide,” before closing with the spacey, angsty “Save Myself From Love.” The record is released through local label Drug Party Tapes.
