For​ ​this​ ​week’s​ ​installment​ ​of​ ​“Peach​ ​Picks,”​ ​we​ ​invite​ ​the​ ​masterminds​ ​behind​ ​Ghost​ ​City Press’s​ ​annual​ ​Microchapbook​ ​Series​ ​to​ ​highlight​ ​some​ ​of​ ​their​ ​favorite​ ​collections​ ​from​ ​this past​ ​season.​ ​The​ ​series​ ​is​ ​an​ ​annual​ ​marathon​ ​in​ ​which​ ​one​ ​short​ ​digital​ ​collection​ ​of​ ​writing​ ​is published​ ​every​ ​summer​ ​weekday​ ​by​ ​Ghost​ ​City​ ​Press,​ ​an​ ​independent​ ​publishing​ ​house​ ​based out​ ​of​ ​Syracuse,​ ​beloved​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​Buffalo​ ​literary​ ​scene​ ​as​ ​the​ ​press​ ​houses​ ​the​ ​work​ ​of several​ ​Western New York-based​ ​writers.​ ​It​ ​just​ ​finished​ ​its​ ​second​ ​season​ ​with​ ​the​ ​press’s​ ​editorial​ ​team overseeing​ ​the​ ​publication​ ​of​ ​75 ​collections​ ​by​ ​78​ ​different​ ​writers throughout​ ​the​ ​country​ ​and​ ​many​ ​parts​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Anglo-speaking​ ​world.​ ​We​ ​hear​ ​from​ ​Kevin Bertolero,​ ​Ghost​ ​City​ ​Press’s​ ​founder​ ​and​ ​publisher-in-chief,​ ​and​ ​Jo​ ​Barchi,​ ​the​ ​press’s​ ​chief editor,​ ​about​ ​some​ ​of​ ​this​ ​season’s​ ​collections​ ​that​ ​they​ ​feel​ ​deserve​ ​some​ ​more​ ​exposure​ ​or that​ ​are​ ​important​ ​to​ ​return​ ​to​ ​a​ ​second​ ​time.
