There’s always something magical about spring in a northern climate, those first sunny days over 60 degrees when everyone crawls out of their dens and back into the light, when we discover we have neighbors and parks again. People dress optimistically rather than pragmatically: short sleeves and shorts if at all possible, afternoon chills be damned.
