Buffalo Unconference: Niagara Square Drone Shoot
On April 18, some of the region’s most forward-thinking and active tech developers and entrepreneurs will convene at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus’s Thomas R. Beech Innovation Center for a daylong “unconference.” Speakers will present on topics as diverse as programming, activism, and visual art. Learn more (and register) here.
“Innovation happens when you bring people together from different backgrounds, with different experiences, and encourage conversations about the concepts they care about,” says event organizer Clark Dever. He continued “Buffalo Unconference is designed to support entrepreneurship by creating a critical density of people, causing the collision of ideas.”
In that spirit, The Public and Dever pulled together a couple dozen of the region’s emerging and established eaders in tech development for a photo shoot in Niagara Square yesterday (April 2). Todd Salansky of the design and marketing firm Norris Clifton Creative did the honors, using a quadcoptor drone that soared high above the square. Look for the final results in The Public, print and online, the week of Buffalo Unconference.
The Buffalo Unconference is sponsored by AT&T and cosponsored by Infotech Niagara, SelectOne Search LLC, 43North, D!G, Z80 Labs, VCAMP, Algonquin Studios, and Heads Up Display, Inc.
