Artists Seen: Patricio Gustavo Calderon

Patricio Gustavo Calderon is a visual artist and educator. Born in Ecuador, he earned a degree from the New England School of Art & Design in Boston and has drawings and paintings in several private international collections, while a sculpture of his was featured in a public art project for Los Angeles’s Chandler Corridor. Calderon came to Buffalo in 2016 as an artist in residence with the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology, working with local students on large-scale abstract drawings and exhibiting his own paintings. Artists Seen: Photographs of Artists in the 21st Century is an ongoing project by photographer David Moog in partnership with the Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State.
