[HOLIDAY] Promoter Mike Marshall, under the name MNM Presents, does a whole bunch of parties each year. Just this week, he’s got Lotus over at Buffalo Riverworks (see our preview on page __) and in 2017 alone he’s brought us Flux Pavillion, Zomboy, !!, and many more. But this party, The Christmas Party is different. “I’d call it more personal,” says Marshall. “Not to me per say—although it is—but to the Buffalo community in general. This has always been a gathering, not a concert. Its purpose is to celebrate family, local talent, all genres of dance music and the holidays. Where many shows have a headliner, most people coming to see a big name—this is about our world and fans of the music. Consider it a glorifed house party.” This glorified house party takes place across four floors of the Pearl Street Grill in Downtown Buffalo, and as Marshall says, will feature a whole bunch of your favorite Buffalo-based DJs who will dive deep into the bassiest depths of electronic music—from house, techno, and tech house, to electro and maybe some drum and bass too—with a line up that includes Eyes Everywhere, 3PO Hoogs & US Marshall, Wolli, Rufus Gibson, Xotec, and many more. Like the very best Christmas parties, this one takes place on Christmas, Monday, December 25, so once formal festivities end, head over to the Pearl Street Grill to cut loose.
