Cam'ron

[HIP HOP] In 2014, Cam’ron teased his album, Purple Haze 2, promising that it would be out within a year and that it would be his last album. As highly anticipated as it was, Purple Haze 2 never came, but instead we got The Program, earlier this year—his first release in four years. The Program brings with it a fairly apathetic attitude from the rapper who once rapped that he didn’t need hip hop, it’s just a hobby (he also once bragged that he sold $3 million dollars worth of drugs on Ohio State’s campus, so one could posit that maybe that was his main gig). What it means that he’s on tour in support of the record is that he’s at least enjoying hip hop again, hopefully, and if we’re lucky, he’ll show up to his gig on Chippewa wearing some form of fuzzy pink track suit and sporting a flip phone. The Dipset leader comes to Buffalo for a show at Venu this Friday, December 15 with support from Dolo Chillin, Skillie Vanillie, and Ray Williams.
