Four Year Strong

[PUNK] Debating whether it’s punk-pop or melodic hardcore seems like splitting hairs, but Worcester, Massachusetts-based Four Years Strong has struck enough of a power-chord with audiences to have sustained more than 15 years of touring and recording since their high school beginnings, opening strings of dates for Good Charlotte, Rise Against, Wonder Years, Bad Religion and plenty of others. Initially signed to Pete Wentz’s Decaydence label, they eventually landed a contract with Universal Music. Most recently, they’ve found a home at Pure Noise Records, releasing their self-titled set in 2015, which was said to be the most raw, honest, “live” recording they’d put out since singing with a label. Coming to play Buffalo’s The Waiting Room on Tuesday, March 14, they’re celebrating the 10-year anniversary of 2007’s Rise or Die Trying, their full-length debut and still (by most accounts) their most beloved album, which they will play from start to finish. Also on the bill: Can’t Swim (New Jersey), Sleep On It (Chicago), Light Years (Cleveland), and our own Kill the Clock.
