[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] California-based DJ/Producer Jeff Montalvo, a.k.a. Seven Lions, has moved steadily into more commercial territory since his first remixes appeared in 2011. By incorporating more vocals (including Ellie Goulding on 2014’s “Don’t Leave”) and deeply satisfying melodic pockets into his projects, his last few EP’s—released on the revived, now electro-centric Casablanca Records label—have all hit Billboard’s Dance top 5. A new collaborative single with Portland-based Echos entitled “Cold Skin” will drop on the Monstercat label the day before Seven Lions plays Town Ballroom, Thursday, November 10, which promises to include special guests.
