WSADA XVI

[EXPERIMENTAL] Here comes WSADA 16, and it’s at the WASH Project’s new 593 Grant Street location, which is at the corner of Bradley (close to the West Side entrance to Buff State). These ongoing showcases always feature some edgy performance hybrids, and the upcoming event on Monday, October 17 looks to be no exception. Starting promptly at 8pm, the duo of Steve Baczkowski and Jack Toft return to the WSADA stage with their horn-driven, drumless rap and cut’n’paste vinyl selections (‘frankensteined records, which have been shattered and then mixed-and-matched back together… do not try this at home). Also back for another set is Providence, Rhode Island’s Russian Tsarlag with some down-tempo grooves. They’ll be joined by Guatemalan artist Justin Rhody with a mix of field tapes and visuals and the relatively conventional tones of Georgia’s Jeffrey Zagers. $5 at the door, bring your own bevvys.
