East Lovejoy Street has been the center of social life in the Lovejoy neighborhood for well over a hundred years. Here, in an undated photograph, George Hall’s Billiards is seen at 1106 East Lovejoy Street, northeast corner of Ideal Street. Other than its existence at a point in time, not much known about George Hall’s Billiards or about George Hall. What is known is that the building existed before 1917, that the building was resurfaced with brick before 1939, and that the building still exists today. It is now the location of the corner tavern Bottoms Up.
