[COMEDY] Likely named (with tongue firmly planted in cheek) after Edward Zwick’s 2010 American comedy-drama film about Viagra (based on the book Hard Sell), this new comedy revue at Babeville’s 9th Ward offers another potentially great outlet for Buffalo’s burgeoning standup talent pool. Overseen by comic Zach Dietsch, Laugh and Other Drugs is running bi-monthly and already feels like a hit. This Friday’s installment is hosted by Jon Schuta and features sets from Dan McArdle, John Lockwood, Jessica Grant, Eric Lingerfelter, Bennett Solowski, Allie Brady and Jesse Winterhalter. Perhaps the best part is how the club is designed in such a way that performers and their audiences are in very close quarters. Intimate is an understatement, which also means you can’t not pay attention.
