[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Buffalo’s newest party collective Strange Allure is on a roll. After a successful underground dance party last weekend featuring Volvox, they’ll present another, albeit smaller party this weekend—this time at Sol Rise on East Utica Street on Buffalo’s East Side. The venue, a cultural arts center and farm was founded in 2012, and has played host to musical performances, parties, and dance events. The party will feature another Jack Dept. NYC DJ, John Barera. The Boston-based DJ and producer is one of the founders of Supply Records, which focuses on house and techno releases from an international roster of artists. Barera will be joined by a local fellow who has spent some time in Detroit, DaRand Land, who has himself had a few successful international releases—such as his highly sought after 2000 deep house EP Blessings, which these days fetches a pretty penny on many second hand record buying websites. Strange Allure resident DJ Alexander L will open the night, this Saturday, March 26.
