[PARTY POP] Don’t judge them by this fact, but party rappers Kalin and Myles met at the premier of the Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never in 2011. It’s not necessarily a bad thing that the Bay Area musicians take cues from the biggest pop star in the world, as they take that pop aesthetic and rearrange it to create hip hip tinged party anthems, not unlike Moosh & Twist (who came to Buffalo just a few weeks ago) or Jack & Jack. The 20-something pop artists released their Dedication EP in 2014—a good attempt at pool-party summer jams—but these guys aren’t producers or virtuosic musicians, they’re entertainers and they’re made for the stage. Check them out at the Town Ballroom on Sunday, March 15.
