[FUNK] It’s been more than 20 years since Rusted Root hit big with the Native American-influenced single “Send Me On My Way,” with its good vibes island-hop rhythm, but the band has continued to tour consistently and fill venues on the jam circuit while quietly selling an accumulated three million discs. Just last month, November 20 was officially named Rusted Root Day by Mayor Bill Peduto in the city of Pittsburgh, from whence the quartet (formerly a five-piece) hails. Spreading a message anchored in accessible spiritual ideals, Rusted Root will celebrate New Year’s Eve at Buffalo Iron Works, infusing the start of 2017 with a positive message of hope here in the city of Buffalove. Local openers Funktional Flow will kick off the festivities at 9pm, so don’t be late.
