[NYE] Emo nights are popping up all over the place and more frequently now, and the latest here in Buffalo will take place on New Year’s Eve at the Waiting Room. For this one, the folks at After Dark have shipped in headliner James Dewees of Reggie and the Full Effect to curate his favorite emo tunes from the 1990s and early 2000s. Dewees, of course, is a pioneer of emo music, if there is such a thing. In addition to Reggie and the Full Effect, Dewees has worked with the classic emo band the Get Up Kids, as well as New Found Glory, My Chemical Romance, and others. He’ll be joined for this special emo night by Jeramiah Paul of the Buffalo-based alternative rock band Pentimento, as well as a surprise DJ. The event will features four hours of open bar and food, too.
