Strange Allure Volume 13: Analog Soul

[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] After an unfortunate last minute cancelation in June, Analog Soul is lined up again to play the next Strange Allure party. The duo, twin sisters Jacky and Kathry “DatKat” Sommer, who hail from New York City by way of Oakland, are on the rise in the Brooklyn underground house music scene. New Yorkers would find it hard to ignore Analog Soul, as the sisters first made their name on the East Village Radio station and as employees at popular NYC record stores. Later they’d become mainstays at clubs like the Bossa Nova Civic Club and Good Room, and more recently their name has been popping up on huge house and techno music festival line ups alongside legendary names like Theo Parrish, whose mechanical house sound is prevalent throughout their mixes, and fellow rising house music stars like Octo Octa, another Strange Allure alum. Their mixes explore the deeper side of house, often falling far into blissfully hypnotic mechanized loops punctuated by quick hits of soulful vocals. The collective comes to Buffalo for volume 13 of the underground Strange Allure party, this Saturday, December 16 with support from DJ Agent of Peace. The party is, as usual, set up at an undisclosed location. Location details will be released the day of the show via email for ticket holders and email subscribers. For tickets, ask around. Limited tickets available at door.
