[ROCK] The Showplace Theater wants to restore its glory as the rock-and-roll heart of Buffalo with its first live music concert in years. A strong lineup kicks off the beginning of a new era for the venue, including Buffalo’s notorious Super Killer Robots. Taken over by Joe “Roxbury” Breidenstein in 2009 and finishing up extensive renovation in 2013, the theater has been maintained mostly through private events and local parties. With a new second floor and a VIP Area, Breidenstein hopes to re-establish its reputation as the holy mecca it was for past guests including the Goo Goo Dolls and Ice-T. The lineup for Saturday, November 26 is rounded out by Inherent Vice, I’m From the Government and I’m Here to Help, and Drednecks.
