Mind you, this DJ/production trio is not the stuff of handbag house, but rather an innovative electronic adventure rooted in techno’s dark side that’s designed to keep your eyes and ears very busy. Best recognized for their menacing-looking cat helmets, which glow white light around the eyes during performances—a collaboration with industrial designer Gabriel Hebert—BTSM offers a state-of-the-art live gig that mixes live synth and drum-pad work with loops and triggered samples, fortified by an LED light show that’s carefully tailored to the music.
