[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Though the band formed in 2009, it wasn’t until the release of the crazy-popular Netflix series Stranger Things that Survive broke out. That’s because two of the group’s members, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, were responsible for the perfectly composed soundtrack to the nostalgia-inducing show. Rolling Stone describes their music as “part John Carpenter, part Italian giallo, part Girorgio Moroder…” and that vibe struck a chord with the show’s creators. Known for their leanings toward analog gear and vintage synths, Dixon and Stein will bring Survive to the Studio at the Waiting Room on Thursday, November 3 with support from Dust Witch.
