[POP] The Aussie duo Strange Talk, comprised of former Australia Youth Orchestra violinist Stephen Docker and DJ/Producer Gerard Sidhu, expands to a quartet on the road—useful assistance in recreating the sophisticated textures of 2014’s debut full length, Cast Away, and the brand new EP, E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. Similar in tone to Foster the People, Strange Talk generates anthems that have one foot firmly planted in electronica while the other touches toes with numerous pop hybrids, resulting in widespread appeal. It’s what landed their catchy single “Climbing Walls” in the #1 position on Billboard’s Uncharted chart. Strange Talk comes to the Waiting Room on Tuesday, November 3 with Intergalactix.
