[REGGAE] The show must go on—and it has, for 35 years. The Wailers is currently a bit of a conundrum: a legal battle has broken out over who-is-what and which-is-which, the rights to the band name, etc… it’s a cycle we’ve seen play out with other artists again and again. Most recently, Wailers mainstays Tyrone Downie, Earl Lindo, Al Anderson, Junior Marvin, and Aston Barrett have begun touring as The Wailers Band, leaving the name The Wailers to this lineup (for the time being), led by Dwayne Anglin, which comes to the Bear’s Den at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls on Friday, October 28. For fans of the one-drop reggae sound that Marley and his original band fashioned into an international phenomenon, however, it shouldn’t matter. What matters is that the music – and the spirit it was made in survives to this day.
