Cute is What We Aim For

[EMO] Fresh off of their latest reunion, Buffalo emo band Cute is What We Aim For are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their debut album The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch—the Matt Squire produced record released by Fueled by Ramen Records in 2006. With most of the original line up in order, Cute has recently travelled to Australia, where they did a stint of shows before returning to the states for an extensive cross country tour that ends in their hometown of Buffalo. The band has been troubled by drama and controversy througho, though they have seemed to feed off of it over their sporadic career. The current line up is as close to the original line up as the band has come in some years—original members include frontman Shaant Hacikyan, guitarist Jeff Czum, and drummer Tom Falcone, are joined by new bassist Christian Adams who replaces original bassist Fred Cimato. They’ll play two shows, Thursday October 27 at the Waiting Room, and Friday, October 28 upstairs at the Studio at the Waiting Room.
